This Week's Dom's Digest
Here is your current Dom’s Digest. A quick snapshot list of interesting stuff I’m enjoying or thinking about right now...
Airbolt Smart Luggage Lock.
I've done a lot of travelling this year and this little device has given me a lot of peace of mind. After having luggage mislaid by the airport and then fiddling with easy to lose keys travelling became a bit of a hassle.
I invested in an Airbolt and I now don't have to worry. Its an app controlled smart lock which means I never need a key. It has bluetooth tracking capabilities and alarm so I can't lose my case, leave it behind or have somebody snatch it whilst I'm not looking.
Its also TSA approved and lets you know if security have had to open your case. Whilst its not a cheap device, there are no ongoing annual/monthly fees (like other solutions) and the app is really easy to use.
If you travel and the hassle of lost luggage will impact on your trip then this is worth a look.
The Pumpkin Plan: A Simple Strategy to Grow a Remarkable Business in Any Field by Mike Michalowicz.
Don't let the odd title fool you. This is a business book! I've been a fan of Michalowicz's books for a long time. He uses a good story to keep you captivated whilst demonstrating some of the best business nuggets for frustrated and exhausted business owners.
In this book he relates it back to a simple 3 step system which helped transform his company into a multi million dollar empire.
Definitely worth a read/listen and has lots of other business owners stories for inspiration.
Braintoss app.
If you are like me and have a 100 things going through your mind all the time then Braintoss could be very helpful. Its available for Android and iOS.
I've recently downloaded it and find it really helpful to get the stuff out of my brain when I think of it and into a format where I can use it later.
You can use it to capture your To-do’s in one click, quickly capture when on the move.
You voice messages are automatically transcribed and uploaded to a cloud app like email or Evernote.
I use it to empty my brain on the spot as soon as I remember something to do or need to record an idea.
Worth a look if you are always trying to type ideas in your phone or scrambling for something to write with.
As always, I love getting your feedback on Twitter and email. Did you have a favourite from the list? Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for me to try?
Don’t be shy, let me know. Just send a tweet to @dcb_jones with #DomsDigest at the end so I can find it or you can email me at dominicj@barttech.co.uk to get in touch.
Have a great week!
